MEET THE SITTER
Hi, I’m Nina!
I have always had a deep connection with animals. My love for all living things was evident at a very young age. I was raised on a farm, where I loved and learned how to care for all kinds of animals. I became active in the animal world at the age of 18 when I became a kennel tech at a local veterinary hospital. At this job, I gained much hands-on experience and a wealth of knowledge that I have carried with me over the years. My experience dealt with pet triage, first aid, medication administration, and learning about pet nutrition. I also became active in the animal rescue world at a young age. I started by walking dogs at the local animal shelter and volunteering at pet adoption events. I fostered for local rescue organizations and helped in the networking and transportation of rescue animals out of high kill shelters. Most recently in May of 2018 I founded my own 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue called Four Legged Freedom Rescue, located in Kennebunk, Maine.
My hands-on experiences have prepared me for handling multiple types of animal situations. I believe that my passion and empathy for animals will benefit your beloved pet by always providing them with the best possible care that you’d expect from me and those I entrust in the care of your pet.
I am a true animal lover and advocate at heart. I have a big furry family of my own: 1 dog, 9 cats and a rabbit. Yes, 11 animals in total! They all have personalities and needs of their own, which makes them all very special to me in their own unique way. Through the care and love of my own pets, I have learned how important personalized and compassionate pet care is. That is why I established Coastal Pet Care. I value the importance of providing personalized care for your pet. I understand that some animals may need more love and reassurance before trusting someone new to care for them in their home. Therefore, I believe in providing slow introductions, multiple meet and greets, positive reinforcements, and practicing patience. I believe that Coastal Pet Care can provide personalized pet care for each individual pet in our care, whether it is a long walk or playtime at the park for the young and active dogs, or a brief walk and extra belly rubs for the senior dog; lots of playtime and chin scratches for the outgoing cats, or silent devoted companionship for the more timid cats.
My goal is to provide your pet with the same love and care in your absence that they would receive from you. Thanks to technology, I can provide you with pictures via text, email or video calls during the care of your pet.
I consider your pet my pet, and I consider it a privilege to care for them.
Thank you for your consideration in entrusting the care of your beloved pet to me.
Sincerely,
Nina Antonucci
